The Algerian Revolution represents an exceptional case in the 20th century, as it succeeded in destabilizing the colonial system, impacting the overall situation both internally and externally. This led to a range of actions and reactions, attitudes and perceptions, and a collective Algerian consciousness and imagination linked to the context of that historical period. This revolutionary context revived the actual expression of the "distinctive" Algerian identity, different from the perceptions that the colonial system sought to instill. Therefore, the liberation revolution was able to transform the ways Algerians expressed their rejection of all forms of colonial violence, producing a revolutionary state: anger, conflict, recognition of this conflict, the transfer of the struggle to France, international attention and monitoring, and its repercussions on the daily lives of Algerians. This study day aims to open a broad discussion on the various aspects of the Algerian Revolution, considering it not merely a series of historical events but an "act" that extends to "lived experience." This will be clarified by the presentations given by the participating academics on the ramifications of the colonial situation in Algeria.
