abstract
This research project aims to accompany the reform of French and English language education in Algeria, offering a critical perspective on its implications for the national educational system. The reform seeks to support learners in developing linguistic, communicative, methodological, and intellectual competencies throughout their schooling, thereby fostering autonomy. Linguistic competence is addressed at grammatical, syntactic, and lexical levels; communicative competence is framed through interculturality; methodological competence through classroom practices and project-based learning; and intellectual competence through analytical and critical thinking.
