One of the major developments in contemporary societies is the expansion of schooling, understood as the enrollment of children from a given generation. This expansion was the first visible outcome of the democratization of education. Today, democratization is defined not only by access but also by the improvement of academic results and the reduction of failures and exclusions affecting many students. Research on preschool education demonstrates the positive impact of early pedagogical intervention before the age of six, as it provides equal opportunities for later success, particularly for children from disadvantaged backgrounds
