abstract
The volume Proceedings of the Scientific Days for the Presentation of Research Results from the National Research Program (PNR) Projects: “Population and Society” brings together the findings of research conducted within the framework of the National Research Program dedicated to population and societal issues in Algeria. It compiles contributions presented during scientific meetings organized to showcase and discuss the results of research projects carried out by multidisciplinary teams in sociology, demography, anthropology, and the humanities and social sciences.
The published studies address a wide range of themes, including the city and urban space, the rural world, family, youth and women, migration, labor, social mobility, as well as history, collective memory, and the modes of transmission of culture and knowledge, both oral and written. These studies aim to provide field data and scientific indicators that enable researchers to gain a deeper understanding of the realities of Algerian society and the challenges it faces.
The significance of this volume lies in the fact that it brings together the results of national research conducted through diverse scientific approaches, making it an important reference for researchers and students interested in issues of population, development, and social change in Algeria.
