abstract

This book attempts to examine the various issues raised by the implementation of the 2004 LMD reform. The diverse contributions demonstrate the multitude of problems that different stakeholders in universities have had to resolve. Through all the themes addressed, the book offers specific reflections on questions as varied as the future direction of the university, the need to refound the university, the Bologna Process, input, curriculum, quality, ethics, responses to the pedagogical management of the pandemic, and student life. This study draws on the research and experiences of academics at varying levels of responsibility. The book invites readers to understand the full complexity of this undertaking by adopting a critical yet constructive stance toward a different kind of university, the contours of which have been defined by the forthcoming Law on the Orientation of the Higher Education and Scientific Research Sector.
